Marketing Portfolio

             Allied Advertising

Experience Summary:

During my internship with Allied Advertising and Promotion I was responsible for promoting the upcoming film releases from Sony Pictures to local colleges and universities.

Promotional Channels/Partners:       The specific channels at the Colleges and Universities that I directed promotional efforts were: media outlets (i.e., print, radio and television, student organizations, faculty and staff departments

The main goal of these promotions was to generate publicity and create a word of mouth buzz about the films on the various college campuses, leading to an increase in ticket revenue for that area.

Marketing/Promotional Strategy:   The development of all promotions at Allied Advertising focused on a guerilla marketing strategy, because of the small amount of funds the studios invested into local marketing efforts for each state.  Because of the low budget given to local marketing efforts, tickets and promotional merchandise were the primary incentives that interns could offer in exchange for promotional work performed by the student organizations and media outlets.

Because of the inability to compensate individuals monetarily for their promotional efforts, I had to develop creative strategies that not only promoted the film, but also established a mutually beneficial relationship between Sony Pictures and the student organization or media outlet.
