Planning and coordinating marketing events:
As team leader, I was solely responsible for planning the promotional events. Plans for events were communicated to Yelp HQ during weekly conference call
sessions with Atlanta team and marketing staff at Yelp HQ. During these conference calls I would give evaluations of how effective the event marketing efforts were for the previous week, and also include
information about the event marketing plans for the next week. Also gave input on which promotional items we thought had the largest impact and submit ideas for new promotional items.
Event Marketing Details:
During promotional events, the marketing team handed out promotional
items to create an interest in the product, which provided a platform for team members to verbally communicate details about Yelp.com. My goal for any and all marketing efforts was for the team to leave an
enduring positive impression of Yelp.com in the minds of our target audience, with the optimism that our efforts would result in valuable word of mouth marketing for the product.
