Experience Summary

During my summer contract position as a marketing assistant with the San Francisco based website ‘Yelp’ (www.yelp.com), I was responsible for:

·         marketing the site to a desired market segment in the Atlanta area

·         Market Research

·         Developing, coordinating, and implementing all promotions

·         Engaging new users on the site

·          Managing the marketing team as the appointed ‘Team Leader’

·         Writing 20-30 high quality reviews a week of local businesses in the Atlanta area.

·         Team Leadership Role 

     I was appointed team leader of marketing and promotional efforts by my coworkers and the marketing management staff at Yelp HQ. As team leader I was responsible for researching, planning and coordinating event marketing efforts to ensure the effective promotion of Yelp to an appropriate target audience.
